Edward Leybovich


Ed is responsible for driving the strategic vision behind Trust Equity Partners (“TEP”), overseeing the operations of the company, forging strategic partnerships and investor relations. Over his 18 years of experience with real estate investing, Ed has participated in land acquisitions, multi-family, ground-up construction, residential and mixed-use projects. He has raised money for dozens of acquisitions, providing investors with passive income and teaching them about the merits of real estate investing. Ed earned his MBA from the NYU Stern School of Business with a concentration in Finance, Information Systems and International Business; received a certificate in Artificial Intelligence (AI) Business Strategy from the MIT Sloan School of Business; and is obtaining a certificate in applied AI from IBM.

Adam Shapiro

Managing Partner

Adam is responsible for managing investor relations, client communications, day to day operations, and the firm’s data strategy. Adam has over 17 years of experience in real estate. Prior to joining TEP, he raised $110 million in investor capital for a commercial real estate private equity firm. Just as impressively, Adam has transacted over $2 billion in commercial real estate. He also co-founded a successful commercial real estate brokerage and grew it to a team of 40 agents over a 2-year period. Adam earned his B.S. In Business Administration from the University of Hartford, and is a licensed Real Estate Salesperson in the State of New York. Adam is also in the process of earning a certificate in commercial real estate data analytics.

Alex Kononov

Partner / Acquisitions

Alex is responsible for deal underwriting, market analysis and asset management, as well overseeing the firm’s overall technological infrastructure. Alex’s experience includes multi-family and residential acquisitions, ground up construction and commercial to residential conversions. His ability to deeply analyze, granularly understand and conservatively underwrite deals contributes to TEP’s long term strategy to maximize investor returns while mitigating risk. Alex holds a B.S. and Master’s degrees from the Donetsk National University of Ukraine, specializing in actuarial and financial mathematics and finance.

George Hristodoulou

Self - Storage Division

George is responsible for the spearheading the entire Storage division, overseeing underwriting, acquisitions, asset management and dispositions. Prior to joining TEP, George served as the COO of Goodfriend Self Storage and oversaw the operations of a $250 mil portfolio, and restructured $75 million in existing deals. George also led a 35-person property management team at HUBB NYC and managed the day-to-day operations of a 400-unit, $500 million Manhattan portfolio. While at Acadia Realty Trust, George was involved in acquisitions and asset management of a $350 million storage portfolio. George received his BA at Purdue University and his MBA from the University of Rochester Simon School of Business. Additionally, he received a post graduate Certification in Finance from Simon and a Revenue Management Certification from Cornell University

Matthew Hochstrasser

Ground Up Development

Matthew Hochstrasser is responsible for TEP’s ground up development division and investor relations. Over the last 20 years as a real estate entrepreneur, Matthew has executed hundreds of commercial real estate transactions and has participated in ground up construction of over 600 luxury homes across several luxury communities. He has raised tens of millions of dollars for various real estate transactions. Prior to joining TEP, Matthew raised $33 million for a luxury development in the Hamptons. Matthew studied marketing at the University of Erasmus in Rotterdam and La Salle Academy. He has held a real estate license in the State of New York since 1997.

Elena Svetlov


Elena Svetlov is an active real estate investor with experience in identifying, negotiating, and acquiring buy & hold real estate investment properties. She owns and operates a real estate portfolio consisting of single and multi-family residences. She has extensive education and practical application in multifamily market research, deal analysis and structuring, bookkeeping, contracts, and refinances. Elena has also over 10 years of experience operating in a high-pressured corporate environment with extensive expertise in correspondence, data management systems, project coordination and contract management. Elena received her Bachelor of Science degree from University of Massachusetts Boston with a major in International Business Management and minor in International Relations. She has Belarussian origin and was raised in Israel. Since moving to the United States for college in 2006, she has been permanently residing there. The exposure to different cultures from an early age has helped her to develop exceptional interpersonal skills and collaborate effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
